Delayed Payments to Justice’s Translators Spark Court Protests in Ghent

The budget for translators working within the justice system has been stagnant for years, despite rising costs due to inflation, according to the Union of Translators (BBVT).
This has sparked protests, including one at the important SKY-ECC trial in October and another involving 20 translators at the court in Ghent, where some have been waiting for payments that have been delayed since August.
